There are four severity options:
None
Warning
Alarm
Critical
A severity of None will prevent any notifications from being sent; this is only useful if you want to use the condition for Event Triggered Reports.
Severity may affect whether a given user receives email and text notifications, according to their , where they can filter notifications by severity and organization, but Clarity will always display Warning, Alarm, and Critical notification toasts when they occur, regardless of the user's contact preferences:
